Learning about horses vs. learning to ride them .
I recently started taking lessons once a week with horse named Sunny. I have not done much riding before so I don't think this horse is the best for me but she is the only one open....

My calm horse has become aggressively dangerous..
I acquired a very laid back horse over a year ago. ...I got on him and rode him maybe five minutes and he bolted and turned on me...There was absolutely nothing out to startle him, he just wanted to go back to the barn. I did not let him and he jumped and reared and turned to go to the barn. I rode him to the round pen and got off of him to run him a bit. This is when it got ugly... .

New horse challenges.
I've just bought a new horse - 4 year old mare who has gone from sweetness and light to pure evil (in her stable). I have had her two weeks. I am not a novice with horses and have never encountered a problem of this sort before....

He refuses to walk on at he front of a ride unless on the lead rein...My instructor says he picks and chooses when to misbehave, as he will move forward nicely when we start jumping, and he behaves for younger, lighter riders better. What can we do to stop him misbehaving?.

Help with Rearing Horse.
his problem is that after riding him for a while he just refuses to do more, and just goes for the stable. I push him for a little while he REARS BIG TIME! .

...she is unable to make any form of bond with other horses and when turned out in the field she has one section that is her 'safe area' and will not dare to come out of this section....

Feet handling problems.
My friend and I recently bought a broodmare together that had a history of abuse...First thing we noticed was she didn't like to be touched. The second thing we noticed was her feet were in desperate need of trimming...The previous owner suspected the mare had been tied and thrown down to get hooves trimmed before....
